What a delight! The essay on depression met me at the right time, and I am so grateful for that. I love reading, stopping to laugh, rereading the funny line, and then laughing some more. That's an experience I rarely have while reading, but R. Eric Thomas delivered it a second time. I didn't find this collection as resonant as his first, but I loved reading about the messy middle of life. The overall theme of hope met me right where I was and provided the healing balm that I needed. And finally--I was rewarded for reading the acknowledgements!
