To every single rapist out there: FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU!!!!! My anger will do nothing to help those who you have hurt, you probably don't even care about some random person on the internet typing an angry paragraph on the internet, but to me this is a small form of catharsis. A teeny tiny way to make it seem like I have any control over something I do not.
Chanel Miller is a pioneer and needs to be recognized as such. This isn't something anyone should have to go through, but as she's shown in her book unfortunately people only gain this sort of power once something this traumatic happens. I feel like everyone should read this book, just to understand a glimpse of what happens to people who are raped, or really anyone who has to go through the justice system. If you read this and do not feel a sense of sadness and rage at the whole situation as you read, I cannot fathom you would have any empathy. I just finished this book so emotions are high for me right now, but god. The anger I feel is too much to not try and write something down.
