Missing Clarissa by Ripley Jones

mysterious slow-paced

3.5

Missing Clarissa is about 2 girls who decide to do a true crime podcast for a school project. Through this experience, they research into the disappearance of Clarissa, a girl who disappeared many years ago in their community. I really enjoyed the true crime aspect of this story. Their podcast was pretty cool and I liked the way the sound changed so it was obvious when it was an epiosde of the podcast. The actual mystery, "crime solving", and discovery about different people related to Clarissa's case  kept me hooked, but I wasn't really into the personal drama the two MCs had. It felt cliche and didn't really add anything to the story. Because I really enjoyed the thriller/mystery aspect, I would definitely try another book by Ripley Jones.
