Reading Lolita in Tehran: A Memoir in Books by Azar Nafisi

challenging informative reflective slow-paced

3.5

This book was thought-provoking but also kind of slow-going. I liked learning more about life in Iran after the revolution and during the war.

I couldn't help but be reminded of far-right American politicians. Dr. Nafisi's description of Khamenei reminded me of JD Vance (very inauthentic).
