This story follows Zoey and Noah, childhood best friends and soulmates. But over time, distance and grief have torn them apart. Now, Noah has lost his way after being kicked out of four schools. It’s been three years since they last saw each other, and now he’s been thrown into the high school Zoey attends. Can they avoid each other for long?
Wow, what a rollercoaster. This book destroyed me. These two characters are drawn to each other, and the challenges they went through—along with the three years of lost time and now facing the hardest challenge of all leading up to the end which had me sobbing. I could feel their connection so deeply while reading. I don’t want to say too much, as I don’t want to spoil the story. My suggestion would be to go in blind, but be mindful of the content and themes.
Sheridan has blown me away with this beautiful story of two souls who are meant to be together. This is not a book to pick up for just 10 minutes; you need a few hours each time you dive in. The ending was wrapped up perfectly, and I will think about these two until the end of time. This was a 4.5-star read throughout, but the last 20% sealed the 5-star rating. Read this if you want emotional damage.
