Read this book if you're looking for: friends to lovers, family relationships, found families, books that deal with grief, self-love, self-acceptance
Hannah Bonam-Young just cannot disappoint. Another wonderful love story about two people who worked to make each other better by making themselves better. This story is part two in The Next series (go check out my review for #1 Next of Kin) and follows Matt and Lane. They are friends who met at a party years ago and have always had a good friendship/work relationship until HE (yes he) looks for maybe something more? This book explores their FWB (?) relationship and discusses grief and some things not often talked about in books. Is it better to just shut yourself off from happiness if it could mean that ultimately you won’t get hurt? Great Book. 5 stars. Please look up trigger warnings before reading.
Thank you Hannah for the Instagram chats after both of your books. *Guys this author really is so friendly and just the sweetest person ever! 🥰*
This lovely book comes out on Nov 29th
