I wanted to love this. Unfortunately.
I don't love this book. It's essentially a poorly written fanfic of ACOTAR. Poor Village girl, gets taken against her will by gorgeous fae male prince. To live in a castle. To find out he is even more evil than initially thought. Only to get rescued by an even more gorgeous, mysterious fae male (oh yea he is royal too!) and taken to paradise. Where fmc gets freewill. In an attempt to make things right for the humans.
Gets betrayed, big fight scene, then tada!! Transforms into a fae...
-the courts are named the same. Ex. Night, Day, Dusk..
-good guy-shadow daddy, that can fly and has retractable wings..and is King of Night realm... sound familiar?
-bad guy blonde hair green eyes handsome and controlling and possessive..Tamlin much?
-there is a wild hunt
-mmc has 2 best guy friends, and 2 best girl friends
-mmc is more of a friend to his people and very involved in his peoples city
-mmc unreadable tattoos. 
-fated mates prior to turning fae...
There's even masks... like come on!
 
If that isn't bad enough the chapters are far too long, and filled with unnecessar inner monologue, or just fluff. I really don't need to hear about every article of clothing the fmc wears each day. So slow to read. Just get to the point already! It is ridiculously predictable, I could forsee the ending before even getting to part two. And if that's not bad enough, the grammar is terrible! Wrong words are constantly being used. Repeatedly. We are assured that it will be fixed but thats ALOT of fixing..
