Alyssa Cole did a wonderful job with this series. Each story is fresh, unique, and filled with fully fleshed-out, dynamic characters- and A Duke by Default is no exception. I laughed, I sighed, I turned the page to find out what the next move was from Portia and #swordBae. If you like your romance witty, wry and woke, this is the book for you!
