The Witch's Heart by Genevieve Gornichec

Did not finish book. Stopped at 55%.
DNF at end of part 1 (page 199). I found myself constantly bored because of the extremely slow pacing, lackluster writing and dialogue, and mostly flat, uninteresting characters. Angrboda, the main character, was dull with no personality. She sat in the cave for almost the entirety of part 1 and was an absolute doormat for deadbeat dad Loki. I wanted to like Loki, but this version of him was intolerable. Skadi was the only likeable character. The lack of chapter markings (it's divided into 2 parts) made reading this even less enjoyable for me.
