The Hidden by Richard Sala
3.0
I AM GLAD I DID NOT READ THIS BEFORE BED BECAUSE THAT ENDING LEFT ME SHOOK.
This is the most terrifying of Richard Sala's books I've read, and even though there's gratuitous gore and a liberal use of bright red paint, it still didn't freak me out too much because of his art style.
The story felt a tad rushed, and even though a lot of the panels were text-heavy, it was sometimes hard to piece out what was happening (but one could argue that's intentional since it's supposed to be spooky and mysterious).
You're left with a lot of questions, but it's not so much frustrating as it is absolutely terrifying.
