Ayyyyyyy
A little underwhelmed by the ending, but I think it did an alright job in ending things. I did enjoy the increase in humor. Especially all the gay jokes and covid jokes. So many pairings that I love were formally acknowledged. I don't like how a lot of questions are still unanswered about the whole carnivore herbivore relationship and the existence of mixed species. The ending just seemed way too neat.
Louis gives a public statement about the black market and suddenly all the adult carnivores are atoning for their sins by destroying the black market. It's not like they still don't crave meat. It's also not like herbivores don't know about the black market. Surely there's been herbivores who've bore witness to what they've done and yet they still continued to go there. Take Bill who is pretty defensive about his need for meat. Surely not all the carnivores acknowledge their shame and turn away from meat. Yahya mentions this, but nothing is done about it. Nothing is done for mixed species animals either. I suppose public perception is changing, but the execution is a bit poor on that part. Is there an actual solution? I don't think so, but I would've preferred that there be a moment of reflection on this and putting some sort of closure on the solution rather than ignoring it.
There's a lot of romance stuffed at the end, which I find decent.
I'm very upset that Louis and Juno aren't together.
I mean Haru and Legoshi got an ok ending. It felt like a lot of their other interactions being all awkward and somewhat affectionate.
It wasn't as romantic as I was hoping, but I guess I'm ok with them at least agreeing they're in a relationship. I would've liked to see if they had kids or maybe adopted.
