The Hitman's Guide to Righting Wrongs While Causing Mayhem by Alice Winters

2.0

2.5 stars. This one was fun to start with. I’d missed Leland and his antics, as well as Cassel. It was pretty neat for a good while there. Then I started to lose interest, both because the plot became so messy that I lost track and because I started to remember why Leland is better in small doses.

I was also pissed that Leland was still letting himself be manipulated by that asshole Lucas. Didn’t that plot end with the previous books? Then Leland randomly realized that Lucas was wrong and everything was fixed in two seconds, unprompted, making me wonder what the point was of even including that whole thing in the story.

The ending was very sudden and felt incomplete, like the author got tired of it all kind of like I did. It’s too bad, really. Better to keep the book shorter next time, perhaps, before that happens.
