What An Adventure

This was a good YA read. It tackled some really heavy topics, but infused humor into the story. It showed how far a woman may have to go to receive medical care because of oppressive reproductive laws. On their journey to get a safe, legal abortion, the girls went through so many mishaps. It was like a never-ending obstacle course. They encountered so many colorful characters. I loved how they mended their friendship on their journey. As much as I enjoyed the story, every character got on my nerves. Veronica chose horrible friends. They made me so mad openly pining for her boyfriend. Bailey could’ve been lovable, but she kept putting them in unnecessary situations. Veronica’s boyfriend was completely unhinged. It was scary. As annoying as everyone was, they created an entertaining tale.
