This story was a love letter to high schoolers who may be struggling to find themselves. It showcased a time for making mistakes and still loving yourself for them. Even as an adult, there were moments I could relate to.

I know a book is five stars when I release outward emotions because it shows I’m fully invested. One moment I was sighing from Griffin’s cuteness and the next my mouth was agape at the actions of her best friends. I was even singing along to Suddenly, Seymour when they were practicing for the play. And not gonna lie, I may or may not have shed a tear at the end.

Now I am not one for love triangles, but I think in this setting Khalilieh made it work. While I was #TeamGriffin. However, I understood why Jessie kept going back to Levi. I do think he really worked to see how his mistakes were affecting Jessie. All in all, this love triangle gives all the drama that comes with your first love. I was living for it!
