A Reign of Rose by Kate Golden

“I lose a piece of myself each time” 🥀

The beginning of the book was so slow. I wish there had been more anguish and despair during the captivity to emphasize the emotional distress. I literally found myself nodding off, but things really picked up once I got to Part II.
The romance was so good. Kane is ugh—crazy sweet! The action was phenomenal. I enjoyed being introduced to Hart, he’s so funny. And I teared up a few times for the sad parts.
Though the ending was bittersweet, it left me with unanswered questions. Like, what’s up with Aleksander and that bargain? And who is Adelaide? Also, I am requesting for—the 100th time—a Mari & Griffin book! 😭
