Sure at this point that I prefer Lucy Knisley's fiction to her adult-oriented memoirs. This was a cute, if somewhat forgettable (for me, an adult) MG comic. There's some good, layered character writing in here-- I like the bully character, as well as the stepdad both being flawed in ways that are not easily smoothed over.
