This book continues the story of vampire queen Shara Isador, and is the most action-packed of the whole series thus far. The book picks up where the last left off, at House Zaniyah. It immediately launches into action as there is a betrayal within House Zaniyah.

The second half of the book is when the conflict between Shara and Keisha Skye, queen of NYC, comes to a head. Shara's decided that Skye has to die, and Skye has some sneaky agendas of her own.

I think this was one of the books I've most enjoyed in the series, just because shit *does* happen, and a lot happens. I mean, a lot happens in every book, but in this one, the conflicts being resolved are the ones set up through the whole series. So it was nice to get some resolution, especially in regards to Keisha Skye, who has been haunting Shara the whole time.

Looking forward to the next one, and what happens with the Triune.
