This is probably one of my favorite romances ever. It’s not perfect, but I just really really enjoy it. Highly recommend if you’re into family dynamics in romance. Also the leads have good chemistry.

This book was written around 2006 and one of the leads is a Romani man in England in, I believe, the early 1800s. The g-slur is used. When it is said in the context of the protagonists, it is not used derogatorily. However, there are several characters who do use it that way.
