I really liked this, I always enjoy a good coming of age/defying the odds story of this type. The only problem I had was that I usually forgot that Kel was supposed to be 10 lol
I did not read the Lioness series, but I did not feel as though I had to to enjoy this story, which I feel is always a plus! It did make me /want/ to read it though! lol.
I already ordered the rest of the series lol
