This book is an absolute must read. If you’ve ever questioned prison systems or even just racialised policing this book will inform you on the absolute importance of continuing to question and argue for change. Angela Davis touches on the history of the prison system and how it came to be along with the move from slavery into the penal punishment system as well as a really solid analysis on the prison industrial complex
