Value to me: 10/10
Overall enjoyment: 9/10
Total: 45/50 (4.5)
Phenomenal. Together with The Secret Barrister, this is up there in terms of must-reads for the British populace. It was real, heart-wrenching, gripping, and knowledgeable, all told in beautiful prose. Some chapters - like that of 9/11, Princess Diana, Stephen Lawrence, Sally Clark, and Theresa Lazenby - broke me to a million pieces, each for a different reason. What a gift this man has been for the world of forensic pathology.
