Sea of Strangers by Lang Leav
4.0
Sea of Strangers is the third book of Lang Leav's collection that I read. I enjoyed the process of reading and discovering stories from this book, I am happy that it gave me some kind of mirror for me to reflect on what happened in my life. In general, the book was telling us about love and life in general but still felt personal because it came from the author's life story (I supposed). But what I noticed the most is how she loves the sea and how her entire life was leading her to the point where she met the love of her life. It's like all the misfortune she experienced were happened to prepare her for that moment.
I recited so many pages from this book, which a good sign that I actually relate and enjoy every pages and how it touched me to the bottom of my heart. There were pages about love, life and even how to love and respect ourselves. Just like her previous books, again, the experience of reading her arts is like standing in front of mirror and do self-reflection. Lang Leav also gave me a lot of ideas to write my own poems. Even some prose in this book were written for all authors.
But for me personally, I like "The Universe of Us" and "Love & Misadventure" more, maybe because when I read "Sea of Strangers" I was in my hopeless romantic phase where those two others book more related to my feeling.
