 I feel like this was a frustrating read. All throughout the book Gregor is portrayed as the one at fault whereas I thought that his family’s behaviour was heartless. At the beginning of the story, in fact, you kind of hope that everything will turn out ok for him.

And when it obviously doesn’t, you feel sad even though you knew it was coming.

 

Also, this book gives a very interesting insight on the workers of the time, what was demanded of them and their conditions.
