Maybe I’m just at the right age to read this book but it exceeded my expectations. It was more mature than anything else I’ve read lately due to it being from the perspective of Solene and it was just refreshingly adult. A mom of 39, with an 8th grader, one marriage was just so relatable. The journey of them was so real and raw and I’m left feeling all the feelings. I almost don’t want to watch the movie now because I’m afraid it’s going to ruin it. Sometimes you can’t help who you fall for, and this paints a beautiful picture of it. The highs are so high, and the lows are stressful and scary and heartbreaking.
