Lost in the Never Woods by Aiden Thomas

3.0

This was a highly anticipated book for me, but sadly it did not live up to my expectations. Pacing is a major issue in this story--it is much to slow and very uneven. This made the story feel plodding and overlong for me. The characters didn't resonate and I felt like a lot of the character growth was told rather than shown. The characters and story both fell flat, and despite the plot dealing with missing children, there was no sense of urgency or tension in the story. This was a book was too long but that felt even longer while reading it.
