Falling Out of Time by David Grossman

3.0

This book is a poem and play hybrid. The characters are mourning the deaths of their children, so it's a hard, emotional read. There isn't really a plot to follow as the characters are just moving through their grief. There are some truly spectacular lines in here, and Grossman is obviously an amazingly talented writer (the translator also does a fantastic job).

I think if I were grieving now, I would have had a different and stronger reaction to the book. I think it was brilliant, but I didn't feel attached to it in this moment. I do highly recommend it for someone dealing with their own grief.
