The Fury / Dark Reunion by L.J. Smith
4.0
SPOILER ALERT!!!
Since this book is broken up into two books, I'll start with The Fury.
Ok, I have mixed feelings for The Fury. Don't get me wrong, it was a great book, but there was something about it that didn't go well with me. The fact that Elena died kinda confused me because I wasn't really informed until Dark Reunion that she died, which is kinda depressing.
Ok, Dark Reunion. I LOVED the fact that there was a lot of action going on in this portion of the series, but I HATED the fact that Elena didn't show up until like the last 50 or so pages of it. Wasn't the point of this series to tell the story about Elena and Stefan's love and the vampirey stuff that goes along with it? What's the point of reading the last part of the series if the better half of it (Elena) is absent? But there is ONE thing that made it all better towards the end. One word: DAMON. When Damon defended Stefan against Klaus, I almost melted. Who seriously thought that was sexy?? I DID! You know, throughout the whole series, Damon's been portrayed as an evil character/person, when in fact, he isn't. I mean, would an evil person seriously save his brother? But then again there's that thought that he did it for Elena so she wouldn't suffer... I don't know. I don't think Damon is all that bad.
