I don’t know what’s been drawing me to European reads recently but I picked this up in the library simply because I liked the cover and unfortunately it was not a spontaneous pick that delivered well. The beginning was taxingly slow and I was in half a mind to stop reading altogether. With patience, the plot began to pick up and I was interested in what would happen but the whole thing read like an odd middle school mystery novel. Nonetheless, I’m glad I finished it just for the sake of finishing it.
