This romance actually surprised me. With its flowery writing, it executes a thoughtful and unique modern Greek Myth retelling with (somewhat) high stakes. I am especially curious to see what Demeter does to Persephone next in the name of caring for her daughter. Hades and Persephone’s relationship was alright yet rushed, but that’s how it usually goes with books like this. All in all, it wasn’t a bad read.
