The Adventures of Lola by Jade Harley, Craig Phillips

3.0

I received a copy of this book in a giveaway.

I was initially drawn to this book because it looked like a fun read and the cover really caught my eye.

This was a nice quick read and we get to go along with Lola on her adventure with her friends, Jet and Allie. I liked that the main character was a strong female. I loved that Harley wrote Lola for young readers to see.

I did have some issues with the book. There were several grammatical errors which should have been corrected when being edited. There were so many randomly emphasized words that it got to be a bit out of hand, and some of the words that were being used I wasn't sure would even be in that age group's vocabulary. Finally, while I enjoyed the story, I didn't feel like there was any surprises in the story but rather it kind of followed a straight line, so to speak, and we knew what was going to happen next.

Overall this was a nice story that was enjoyable with a strong female lead.
