Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo
5.0
4.5 stars
I actually thoroughly enjoyed this book, but that may be because I read predominantly romance.
Bro, I simp so hard for the Darkling, it’s not even funny. As a reader, I feel like I’m sort of obligated to adore characters like him.
I love the love triangle going on here. I just love it. The tension makes me so excited, and I love the cruelty of it.
I know this may just be another coming of age fantasy story for many, but I really liked it and I found myself wanting to go back to it frequently.
Definitely will be reading the next one in the series!
Guide to my ratings:
5 stars: flawless, hard to put down
4 stars: it was really good and memorable
3 stars: it was good/okay
2 stars: no redeeming qualities and forgettable
1 star: horrible, had no idea what was going on, boring!!!
