Journey to the End of the Night by Louis-Ferdinand Céline
dark
sad
slow-paced
3.0
The opening sequence is some darkly humorous, antihero bullshit that I truly enjoyed. The kind of absolute and utter nihilism that is somehow absurdly entertaining despite being wildly disturbing.
HOWEVER
The later chapters, the blatantly racist and misogynistic narrator and the vile author make everything else about this book painfully hard to sit through if not borderline unreadable.
