CRIMINALLY, LAUGHABLY BAD. And yes, I read through the entire thing. Are we just going to ignore the fact Alex put a forced pregnancy in a throw away line and didn’t address it? God, you would think that as the author, she would want to address the stereotypes forced on Wildlings and the fact that historically Black and brown bodies have been policed that way for centuries. Instead, I felt everything was for shock value and nonsensical.

In fact, she ends up confirming Wildling stereotypes in favor for pushing Isla’s “I’m not like other girls” schtick.

No idea what the curse was, how it happened, or why it happened. STILL don’t, even after the info dump that happened the last 20% of the book. Everything is just conveniently placed so Isla’s failing upwards even when she never knows what’s going in the first place.
