Paris Was Ours by Penelope Rowlands

3.0

When I started reading this, I was not very interested. The stories seemed a bit, too gushy about Paris. But as I read on, some of the stories were more introspective and more range of feelings, reactions and enjoyment of Paris. Most of the stories were quite interesting. I had thought I would not finish it, but picked it up again and read some more. The stories of the different attitudes of the French toward motherhood were quite interesting. One woman returned to the US and realized her perception of the advancement of women in America was not quite right. There were many fascinating stories. I'm not finished yet, but just a few stories from the end.
I'm considering giving this to a friend who loves France and Paris...I really think she'd enjoy it.
