This was excellent. It both makes you want to eat and absolutely does not at the same time. Dorothy is such an amazing character, a captivating narrator, the post child of a psychopaths, unbelievably charming until she says something that reveals her rotten underbelly. She is the height of privilege, her very narration with it's non stop brand names, expensive vacations, and dishes that cost more than what I make in an entire day, yet fully believes herself to be a victim. And that's the thing, sometimes she almost pulls you in

I'm more than a little obsessed with the discussions surrounding this book, those that denounce it because it is horrible (...it's about cannibalism what did you expect) and those that think Dorothy is girlboss (doing essentially to Dorothy what cishet white guys did to Patrick Bateman and Rick from Rick and Morty). But honestly, is it a good book if it is not a bit misunderstood?
