The Mad Ship, by Robin Hobb

4.0

I DNF'ed the first book because I couldn't stand any of the characters. I decided to still read the second book since I enjoyed the Assassin's Apprentice series and was going on to the next one and there was some cross over information. This book turned out better than the first - less whining, more resolving of conflicts. There was rape and some more in depth description of sex in this book which I wasn't expecting and didn't really appreciate since Assassin's Apprentice kept it pretty clean.
