Secrets at Malory Towers by Enid Blyton, Pamela Cox

4.0

One gets the idea that as Cox moves towards the end of her continuation series, she's trying to wrap up loose ends left behind in the original Malory Towers series. So it is here, with a mysterious sixth-former who reminds the girls of someone, except that they can never place her. I think it's rather unlikely that someone would change so very much that no one could actually recognise her, but okay. The introduction of little Daffy Hope as a June replacement was...well, very parallel, let's say, but I'm pretty sure that Daffy should not yet be old enough to enter Malory Towers if she was only a year old at most when Darrell and Sally were first-formers. Still, a worthwhile effort.
