l want to rate this higher but it really just falls apart toward the end. Loved the mystery tied into the mythology/folklore. I was so fascinated by the 49 days after death and the weretiger. The idea that there were 5 people connected spiritually through their names started off interesting but ended up being a messy murder mystery and a "romance" between step-siblings. The only reason I didn't abandon the book after chapter 42 is because I really cared about Ren. Disappointed that it the "loose ends" of the story were tied up the way they were.
