Survivor Song by Paul Tremblay

2.0

This was such a boring book. I didn't give a shit about anything that was hapenning. They are literally just TRAVELING for the most of this book.

The best part of this book is the very beginning, the first scene. I was hooked, I was creeped out and I was screaming at the characters to CLOSE THE FUCKING DOOR. But everything went downhill afterward - not just for the characters but for me as well.

I did appreciate the female friendship and I was a bit shocked that a man wrote it. Nats' voice messages for her child were also a nice addition.

Unfortunately, the plot was shit. Nothing happens, it's not scary and the fact that simmilar thing was happening this year in real life is mostly funny and not scary - some aspects are so on point like idiot politicians and some are a little exaggarated like the whole zombie-apocalypse from the movie vibe.

I think I'm done with Paul Tremblay - I find his book super repetitive and pointless.
