The Israeli Black Panthers Haggadah by Reuven Abergel

4.0

This is a really fascinating historical document. It's an alternative Passover Haggadah composed by the Black Panthers in 1971. The Black Panthers, who were Arab Jews, wrote this in the midst of their political struggle with Israel. The volume reproduces that text, with very helpful footnotes, and also has a couple of essays contextualizing their work. It's a brilliant way to showcase what resistance can look like.
