Sunshine by Robin McKinley

Did not finish book. Stopped at 33%.

To be brief, the book was extremely boring. The author seems allergic to writing dialogue between characters and instead is constantly having the narrator summarize what was said. The main character is very Special Quirky Girl in the most truly boring way possible. There is so much telling and almost no showing. I'm not inherently against authors doing self-insertion but you know when it's really obvious because of how hot and special and desirable the main character is? Yeah. I don't have anything more to say, I hated this book.
