This is a hard book. It’s emotionally exhausting and difficult to read. Yet, this book is one of the most amazing ones I’ve read.
Jeanette McCurdy manages to make such a difficult story so informative and inspiring. She manages to inject humor during hard passages to keep some of the energy up. Her writing is amazing and this biography shows in depth what someone so young in the television industry goes through. McCurdy manages to erase her image as just a star on a kid’s television show. She brings so much depth and insight into her life and it feels like you’re really connecting with her.
Despite the amazing writing style, there are several hard topics that take place in this book. It can be emotionally exhausting at best and triggering at worst. If you’re interested in reading this, I’d heavily advise reading the warnings to ensure it is a safe read for you.
