La distancia que nos separa by Renato Cisneros

5.0

I love good family memoirs - you learn about history in a very personal way. Renato Cisneros is the son of an infamous general in the Peruvian army who was minister of the interior during two a military government and later minister of war. You learn a lot about the history of Peru in the 60s, 70s and 80s. But the main theme of the book is the search for who the notorious, omnipresent and at the same time distant father, really was and how that has influenced the son. I can strongly recommend.
