Rivets, Trivets and Galvanised Buckets: Life in the Village Hardware Shop by Tom Fort

Did not finish book.
hopeful informative slow-paced

2.0

It starts off as boring with lists of items that they used to sell, some of which you might not even recognize because they're pretty old, and then a story starts to emerge with how they bought the shop and his wife being the most recent owner.
It includes a history of how DIY came about including women's role in this, the first kind of magazine that was DIY orientated and mentioned the new word. The little village that the shop is in and the community living there and also how the shop was refurbished. It does cover some of the negative parts of the community and he lists all of these which makes it a less relaxing listening experience. Quite boring at times my mind kept drifting when listening.

DNF, not enough of a storyline and my brain kept drifting away because it was so boring and I usually enjoy slow and rather uneventful/boring stories where little happens.
Maybe a DIY enthusiast would have enough interest.
