This book really helped to develop an undervalued relationship in the of series. The stakes were perfect, you knew the characters would make it through, but not at what cost.
The defeat of nyx was dramatic and climactic
. The characters were just as touching as I remember them, and
I really enjoyed pipers appearance
. The lgbtq+ themes were done to a tee, driving home that who you are can and will change, and it’s all about finding the labels/tools that help you in the moment. Plus the handling of Nicos trauma was touching, I can’t speak to the accuracy, but I found the message sweet.

Overall a very well done return to a beloved series and characters
