I read this in about 4 hours, I was super into it. This has definitely been my favorite shifter romance so far. I’ve only read a few but this has me wanting to pick up a lot more.

Our MFC, Sadie, is a baddie, I love it when the mc doesn’t just roll over or break because of the men in the story. Sadie has been through a lot in her 20 years which you learn in the first chapter of the story but it only makes her stronger. I am sorta waiting for her to have a big breakdown around the boys but so far she’s kept it pretty well together. I think one of my favorite things is that even though Sadie fits into the group of boys in a certain way (trying not to spoil here), she doesn’t have all this fighting ability. While she does do way better than expected and she’s got some abilities that are being revealed, she’s not all of a sudden amazing at fighting.

I really liked the men in this story. They each were different and not just because of their shifter form. Their personalities are all different and they each have a backstory that begins to unfold throughout the story. It’s clear that the author has thought through their stories and has it planned out for the next books. I’m really excited to learn more about each of them and how their backstories play into their actions in the next book.

The twists were super fun and had enthralled me with the story. I’m almost mad I read an arc because now I have to wait for the second book when the first one isn’t even out yet. What a cruel world I live in. Anyways, most of the twists I definitely didn’t see coming and was shocked. The cliffhanger had me throwing my phone.

This is a slow burn book and when I say slow burn I mean slooooowwwww. While there is some action throughout the book when it comes to MM scenes and angst, just know you will be waiting a good while for our girl to get some much-needed action. This book was definitely about laying the groundwork for the characters, their relationships, and the world in general so I’m excited to see how the spice picks up in the next book especially since I did not expect the spice that happened to be with a certain character.

I’m so glad I got the chance to read this book. Honestly, I’m so excited for the next book, and in the meantime, I’m going to pick up some other shifter books. This reverse harem was a bit different from others that I’ve read and it’s one I’d definitely recommend.
