The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks

5.0

I've never seen the movie before, but I am not sure I want to. The story was beautiful. It wasn't a typical boy meets girl novel; instead Sparks places the reader right in the middle of the action, which was very different and refreshing.

Noah and Allie pulled at my heartstrings simply because they were so in love. The struggles that they endured while they were apart, the anticipation of meeting each other, and most especially their final meeting at the end . . . I was honestly close to tears by the time I closed the book.

This will most likely be something I'm rereading in the future.
