With this volume of A Devil and Her Love Song, one of the main conflicts of the series thus far comes to an end, namely the conflict around the choir competition. The day of the competition is there already and
leads, after another attack of Maria’s teacher against her, to the class forming a closer bound against the teacher which was so great so see. It was also so amazing how Maria was able to turn the situation towards the end
. We also have some more drama because of a camera team that is at the school, and this drama was entertaining as well since it’s so over the top.

Besides this, our characters finally leave the school for once, and Maria gets her first kiss which made me realize that the romance is not really the focus of the series, besides everyone having a crush on Yusuke for some reason lmao. Of course, everything about this series is quite melodramatic but that is what makes this series so enjoyable to me. It was also great that in this volume, the side characters become more relevant, and some get names for the first time, while the backstories of others are explored more.
