On the Other Side by Carrie Hope Fletcher

3.0

I love Carrie, but this book, like "All I Know Now", seems to be written for her youngest audience. It's a sweet story, but I couldn't wrap my head around the realism and the "magic" living side by side (taking out a heart...?). The setting was also quite confusing; it sometimes seemed set in the 1920s and suddenly you're in present day. Overall, satisfying read, but I'm eager to read something more mature from Carrie. I'm sure she can do more than a fairytale, even if it is her specialty.
