As a formal social services worker I found this to be an incredibly powerful and profound read. White does a great job of weaving his experiences together along with bits of insight about his frame of mind at the time. He is truly a resilient human being and has done a great job of writing a story that shows while things may not be the same after trauma there can be a new normal, and we can make peace with our inner child and past selves.
